What you are buying

A rebuilt website and the hosting that keeps it online, for a one-time build fee of $599 and a monthly hosting fee of $29. There is no separate setup fee. The rebuild covers up to five pages of your own content, and the monthly fee includes hosting, SSL, daily backups, uptime checks, and small updates to text, photos, prices and opening hours.

If you already have a site you are happy with, we can host it for $29 a month with no build fee. That covers the same hosting, SSL, backups, uptime checks and small updates.

Anything outside that list — an online shop with checkout, a custom web application, logo or brand design, copywriting from scratch, or more than five pages — is quoted separately before any work starts. If we cannot do something, we will say so in the first reply rather than bill you for a site that will not do the job.

Preview before you pay

We build the site first and send you the address. You owe nothing until you tell us to put it live on your domain. If you look at the preview and decide not to go ahead, that is the end of it.

Billing

The $599 build fee and the first $29 hosting payment are taken on the day the new site goes live on your domain. Hosting is then billed monthly on the same date through Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.

If a payment fails we will email you. Hosting continues for seven days after a failed payment, then the site is taken offline until it is settled. We do not sell or pass on unpaid accounts.

Cancelling

Cancel any time, by email, with no notice period and no fee. Hosting stops at the end of the month you have already paid for. We will export your text and images on request.

After hosting stops, your domain stays yours and stays in your account. We do not hold it, and we do not redirect it anywhere.

Who owns what

You own your domain, your business name, your logo, and the text and photographs you gave us. The rebuilt pages, the design and the code stay ours; you have our permission to use them for as long as you are paying for hosting.

You are responsible for having the right to use any photo or text you send us. If someone else owns it, we need your assurance that you are allowed to publish it.

What we do not promise

We make sites that load fast and work on a phone. We cannot promise a position in Google, a number of enquiries, or that a competitor will not outrank you. Search rankings are decided by Google, not by us.

We aim to keep every site online, but no host can promise zero downtime. If your site is down, tell us and we will work on it the same working day.

Ending it for cause

We can take a site down if it is used to break the law, to sell counterfeit or prohibited goods, to harass people, or if we are asked to by a court or a hosting provider. We would tell you why.

Liability

If we get something wrong, we will fix it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit or lost business.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version is posted here with a new effective date, and we will email anyone with an active site. Changes never apply backwards to a month you have already paid for.
